The fiqh of ḥayd (menstruation) is among those sciences which are mandatory for every Muslim woman to comprehend and understand as numerous rulings of sharīʿah (Islamic law) stem from it.
These rulings include purification (ṭahārah), prayer (ṣalāh), fasting (ṣawm), pilgrimage (ḥajj), recitation of the Qur’ān (tilāwah), maturity (bulūgh), divorce (ṭalāq), waiting period after divorce (ʿiddah), sexual intercourse, etc.
Without proper and complete understanding of this science, a woman runs the risk of displeasing Allāh ﷻ by abandoning something which is farḍ (compulsory) or by executing something which is ḥarām (unlawful).
This course is based on the fiqh of Imām Abū Ḥanīfah raḥimahullāh and is aimed to properly understand its intricacies so that the issues of menstruation, irregular and postnatal bleeding can be deciphered with ease and confidence, bi’idhnillāh.
Note: Recordings will not be available.

What our students have to say:
I absolutely loved the course. The instructor made all the students feel comfortable and explained everything so thoroughly.
I was quite sad to see it come to an end, as I had really enjoyed studying the course with Ustaadha as well as all of the participants
It’s a very important topic that all sisters should definitely study as haydh is something that will determine the validity of their worship, but unfortunately before this course, many of us were unaware of majority of the course content. I had greatly enjoyed all of it. Alhamdulillah.

I like the fact that it was very interactive, participants could ask questions, and also ustaadha asked the participants questions as well even outside of the session.
We were also always provided with course material to review before and after sessions.
Alhamdulillah, I learnt the most importance rulings regarding menstruation as well as pivotal juristic rulings every Muslim woman should be aware of.

We were taught how to differentiate between blood which would be considered haydh or istihaadha, what is legal blood, types of purities/bleeding, rulings relating to post-natal bleeding, determining a habit etc and many more amazing detailed topics, case studies of different types of blood and how the rulings can change drastically, depending on the moment the blood was sighted, as well as much much more.

After the course material was completed, Ustaadha went through 20 case studies in great detail, which was one of my favourite parts of the course.
It was a great recap from all we had studied, and Alhamdulillah allowed us to feel comfortable, that we have examples we can refer to relating to any kind of haydh situations

Ustadha went above and beyond to explain everything thoroughly and would always check to make sure everyone understands.
She did so many case studies that were extremely helpful. She was so patient with our questions and until we understood the course material. Jazakillah Khair for your time and efforts in delivering this course.
